AGV is the abbreviation of Automated Guided Vehicle, which means the automatic guided transport vehicle. It refers to an unmanned automatic vehicle equipped with electromagnetic or optical automatic guidance devices, which can travel along the specified guidance path and complete the operation under the control of a computer and has safety protection and various load transfer functions. It provides a highly flexible and automated transportation mode for modern manufacturing industry and modern logistics, and is an embodiment of the increasingly mature industrial automation.



At present, AGV cars are widely used in manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, automobile, paper making and other industries. With the development of AGV trolley, according to the different types of carriers, AGV is divided into flap (cover) type and transfer type (including different carriers such as belt and roller). The flap (cover) type is usually used for parcels less than 10kg, while the transfer type sortable parcels are heavier. Finally, the trolley realizes the sorting and handling of goods according to the route set by the program command.
